Hangman Page is refocused and has regained his sense of purpose. He is now slated to challenge Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship at AEW All In: Texas. He was overcome with emotion when speaking about this opportunity during the AEW Double or Nothing 2025 post-show media scrum.
During the scrum, Will Pruett of ProWrestling.Net asked him how it felt to be a homegrown talent slated to headline the biggest Stateside show in AEW's history. He said it was a testament to his growth and the growth of the company as a whole.
"It’s a testament that this is successful. I’m not from somewhere else, I wasn’t established somewhere else, I’m homegrown. I’m from here. My story starts here. That is a testament that All Elite Wrestling has been a huge, gigantic success," he said.
Following that up, he would tell Kyle Collision of BodySlam.net that he is so proud of the company and he cannot wait to be the one to remove the symbol of excellence, the AEW World Championship belt, from the briefcase that Jon Moxley has been holding it in for several months.
"I’m so incredibly proud of this company. For so long, the world champion that I’ve had my eyes set on from the very first Double or Nothing has been hidden in a briefcase. It should be a shining light to the world and a testament to what All Elite Wrestling is and what it’s about. The champion isn’t the person who holds the championship. The championship means so much more than that. Being the champion is being the champion of everyone on this roster, this entire company, and all the fans that have supported us all these years. To keep it hidden in a briefcase, I’m going to be the one to take it out."
