Details for Harley Race's public service.
On Aug. 1, the wrestling world lost a legend as eight-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion Harley Race passed away at the age of 76. World League Wrestling, the promotion founded by Race, announced details on how fans can pay tribute to The King.
MANY people have been asking about memorial services for @8XNWAChampion. There will be a memorial service for the public to attend on Sunday, August 11th at 3:00 PM. It will take place at the Race Wrestling Arena in Troy, MO. Everyone is welcome to attend as we honor him that day pic.twitter.com/mfOSlG68ac— World League WLW (@worldleaguewlw) August 5, 2019
Trevor Murdoch recently took to Facebook to let fans know how Vince McMahon and WWE took care of Race during his final days.
I just wanted to put this out there. Harley needed to be transferred from Atlanta to St.Louis. He needed to take a Med flight because he was in rough shape. Medicare wouldn’t help him. A call was made to WWE and 10 mins later it was paid in full. Vince McMahon never blinked an eye. He wanted to make sure Harley was taken care of.
Thank you Vince, you gave me 2 more days with Harley.
