The Headbangers Reveal Terms Of WWE Nostalgia Deal; Cleared NWA Samhain Appearance With WWE

The Headbangers (Mosh & Thrasher) talk about their WWE deal and what they can and cannot do while under their "Nostalgia contract."

Former WWE Tag Team Champions The Headbangers (Mosh & Thrasher) signed a Nostalgia deal with WWE in early 2023. Since then, they have continued to take independent bookings since then and have even competed for the NWA on pay-per-view, losing to The Southern Six at NWA Samhain.

Speaking about their deal with Steve Fall of WrestlingNewsCo, Mosh & Thrasher revealed that they are allowed to take bookings of all kinds so long as there is no merchandise produced with their likenesses outside of what is being sold by WWE.

Mosh even confirmed that he did check with WWE before accepting the NWA booking.

"It's basically merchandise. Action figures, we'll be on the video games, hopefully t-shirts," Mosh began. "We signed in March and they said it could take 10 to 12 months with production and stuff. I think once that starts, maybe it'll bring us back on TV because there's appearances rolled into that whole contract we signed. Now when doing other stuff, we can do whatever we want, as long as there's no merchandise made of us and sold.

"When the NWA thing came up, and we were asked, I checked with the office first," Mosh continued. " I didn't want to have a conflict of interest and get that contract killed off or be in trouble. They said, 'No, you are free to do whatever you want as long as there's no merchandise made.'"

Another legendary tag team that recently signed Nostalgia deals with WWE is the Dudley Boyz. Fans can learn more about that here.
