Heath Slater Awakens From A Nightmare In Post-WWE Teaser Video

Heath Slater is awake. 

Slater had been in the WWE system since 2006 when he signed a developmental deal with Deep South Wrestling. He survived many cuts and even saw his 3MB mates Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre get released in 2014 while he stuck around.

Unfortunately, Heath was released on April 15 as part of the company-wide cutbacks. 

With his non-compete clause expiring at midnight on July 18, Heath posted a new teaser video where he awakes from his WWE jobber nightmare along with a lengthy message to his fans.

When I was young, I dreamt of having a place just for me inside the squared circle. With the help of my Mom and Grandpa, I made that dream my reality. At 23 years old, my priority was me and only me. I lived the life that the old timers told me about and life on the road was everything I thought it would be at first. As the years went on my career evolved and so did I. Heath actually returned to WWE on July 6, appearing on Raw as a special guest of Dolph Ziggler to confront McIntyre. Though McIntyre beat him in short order, Heath and Drew stood tall together to close the segment.
