Heath Slater Commenting On Rhyno's Pending Free Agency: "He Might Stay, But Then Again, He Might Go"

Heath Slater responds to a question about Rhyno's future.

The first-ever SmackDown Live Tag Team Champions Heath Slater and Rhyno were riding high coming out of the WWE Draft that saw the likes of AJ Styles, John Cena, Dean Ambrose, Alexa Bliss, Becky Lynch, The Wyatt Family, Naomi, Randy Orton and more names standout on the blue-brand exclusive show. After Slater and Rhyno dropped the SmackDown Tag Titles, they were featured in the division in the months following but Slater and Rhyno were no longer featured prominently after a certain period of time.

Rhyno publicly stated during an interview several months ago that his contract with WWE is set to expire in July and he had not decided whether he was going to re-sign with the company or not. Slater spoke about Rhyno's free agency when he chatted with Brody The Kid for an exclusive interview for the 'Big League Breaks' website and had the following to say about the former 3-time WWF Hardcore Champion's future:

"I talked to him and he’s doing what he would like to do, and I still love him to death. I know July is what everybody is saying, but you never know…he might stay, but then again, he might go. I don’t know. It’s up to him.” Slater said.

Slater was asked about some of his favorite accomplishments in WWE and he responded by saying that winning the tag titles with Rhyno and Justin Gabriel, now going by PJ Black were top moments of his career.

"Shoot, I have a few of them. I am a 4-time tag champion, 3 times with Justin Gabriel and 1 time with Rhyno. We were the first ever SmackDown Live Tag Team Champions. Those were good feelings. I still think the best one hasn’t come yet, I’m still waiting on it.” Slater said.

Rhyno did an interview with Chris Van Vliet last month in-which he stated that WWE offered him double his downside guarantee and he turned down said offer.
