For Heath Slater, the pot at the end of the rainbow is wet and filled with chlorine.
The recently crowned SmackDown Tag Team Champion got his long-awaited and much-coveted above ground pool earlier this week. Slater posted a picture of his new pool on Friday on Twitter.
The pool was a frequent topic of conversation as Slater bounced back and forth between the two WWE main brands as a free agent, before finally winning a SmackDown contract by teaming with his former opponent Rhyno and winning the tournament to crown the first-ever Smackdown champs earlier this month at Backlash.
One can only wonder how much fun in the sun awaits Slater and his sizable family.
Will Slater and Rhyno's reign prove to be the equivalent of a dive into the shallow end of the pool? The champs face their first major challenge on Sunday, October 9 in Sacramento, when they defen against the Usos at No Mercy.
This is the fourth time that Slater has dipped his toe into championship waters in the WWE, with all four of his reigns coming in the tag division. The previous three reigns all saw Slater and Justin Gabriel win gold. All three reigns occured in a span of about six months between October 2010 and April of 2011.
It's been even longer since Rhyno, Slater's partner, held a WWE championship. His previous title reign in WWE came 15 years ago, when he held the U.S. Title for about a month in the fall of 2001. Rhyno also is a former three-time WWE Hardcore Champion.
