Heath Slater Comments On The Nexus Missing Out On John Cena’s Retirement Tour

Heath Slater comments on being excluded from John Cena’s retirement tour.

Before the year began, fans speculated on members of The Nexus possibly being involved in John Cena’s final year as an active competitor. That hope began to fade as the year went on.

Speaking with Rewind Recap Relive for a new interview, Heath Slater commented on missing out on Cena’s farewell tour.

“I’m pissed. I don’t want to say I’m pissed, John Cena deserves everything that he’s going to get, he dedicated his life and soul to this business and that’s a fact. But, out of how long of the run that he had, we as a group, Nexus, had a huge feud with John Cena. I feel, and this is just me, I wish we would’ve planted the seeds six months ago just so we could’ve watered it and hopefully it would have grown. I asked a buddy of mine that’s still up there, he said they they pretty much just swept Nexus underneath the rug and we’re not even existing anymore. It’s one of those things where it could be cool if the music hit, we all came down either to hurt or help John Cena. I feel like it could’ve been a cool moment just for the nostalgia of the people.”

Back in September, David Otunga commented on this situation, calling it a “travesty”. Check out his full comments by clicking here.
