Heath's first match as an official.
Last week on RAW, "General Manager-Elect" Baron Corbin stated that he needed to cut some weight on the roster so he decided to pit the first-ever SmackDown Live Tag Team Champions Heath Slater and Rhyno against one another in a singles match. The catch was that whoever lost said match would be fired from RAW. Heath Slater went on to pick up the victory over Rhyno with a neck-breaker and once Heath got to the back, he was confronted by Corbin and Corbin alerted Heath that he would now be working for the company as a referee.
On tonight's WWE RAW broadcast in San Diego, Heath refereed his first match in WWE which was a bout between Elias and Lio Rush.
Slater called it down the middle until Bobby Lashley got in the ring and began beating down Elias. Lashley intimidated Slater and Lio Rush sensed the fear and went to grab Elias' guitar and threw it in the ring for Lashley to use. Lashley then smashed the guitar over the back of Elias and Lio Rush covered Elias as Heath Slater reluctantly counted to three.
Heath Slater was told that he has another match to referee tonight and to stay up to date with what that match will be, head over to Fightful's WWE RAW coverage article.
