Hechicero Wins CMLL World Heavyweight Title

Hechicero captured the CMLL World Heavyweight Title on March 20.

Hechicero defeated Claudio Castagnoli. The finish saw “El Alquimista Del Ring” submited Claudio.

This is the second reign as champion for Hechicero. Claudio held the title for 113 days, defeating Gran Guerrero. He made six successful title defenses.

Both wrestlers are signed to dual contracts with AEW and CMLL. The new champion is part of the Don Callis Family, while Claudio is part of the Death Riders. The two groups have had a rivalry for months, stemming from Jon Moxley defeating Callis Family members Kyle Fletcher and Kazuchika Okada to win the 2025 AEW Continental Classic.
