At AAA's "Noche de Campeones", the company's last match of the calendar year, AAA & IWGP Tag Team Champions FTR fought Los Hermanos Lee (Dragon Lee & Dralistico). At the end of the bout, Dralistico & Dragon Lee defeated them to crown themselves as the new AAA Tag Team Champions.
FTR held the titles for over 439 days, winning the titles off Lucha Bros (Penta El Zero Miedo & Rey Fenix) on the October 16, 2021 edition of AEW Dynamite, dressed as "Las Super Ranas". They recently lost the ROH Tag Team Championships against The Briscoes (Jay Briscoe & Mark Briscoe) in a Double-Dog Collar Match on the 12/11/2022 edition of ROH's grand show "Final Battle" (full results for that show here).
FTR will now defend their IWGP Tag Team Championships against Bishamon (YOSHI-HASHI & Hirooki Goto) on the 17th edition of New Japan Pro-Wrestling's magnum event WrestleKingdom, featuring the likes of Kenny Omega, IWGP United States Champion Will Ospreay, Great Muta, Kazuchika Okada, IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Jay White & More. Fightful will have the results for the show on January 4, 2023.
