Many of Eddie's contemporaries that have watched him rise through the ranks have all commented on his success; it was even the basis of his Full Gear grudge match against CM Punk.

Marti Belle and Allysin Kay, The Hex, are two performers that have also seen Eddie Kingston put his heart and soul into his work inside the ring, and now, they are sharing their elation for his success and telling the world how kind of a person Eddie Kingston can be during their recent appearance on the Battleground Podcast.

Both members of the NWA Women's Tag Team Championship team shared special notes that they received from Eddie through the years, including one that Kay received on her birthday.

Marti began, "Eddie is like that annoying older brother who's always looking out for us. But always making fun of you and like, calling you gross or saying like, 'You suck,' but literally will always text us and be like, 'Yo, you good?' Like, literally, I think at least like every other week, we get a message from Eddie and literally just says, 'You good?'"

Allysin carried on, "I'm about to put Eddie on blast. I have a text from him on my birthday to show you what a sweet and caring person he is even though he likes to pretend and be like, 'Oh, you're gross, disgusting,' and put barfing emojis on our Instagram. But Eddie Kingston texted me on my birthday and said, 'I love you and you are someone who I can never replace in my life. You are the true definition of a strong woman and I'm so fucking blessed to have you as a friend. Happy born day, my French Vanilla."

Then, it was Marti's turn to share a touching note from Eddie.

"I literally keep it by my bed," she began.'"So, I got cast on this TV show it's on Telemundo. Eddie and I were on a show the night it was like, three days before I was leaving and needed a place to like just shower and crash for a few hours before he went to the airport. I was like, 'Of course, you can crash with me.' So I fell asleep. I woke up he was gone. But I had a note. Horrible handwriting, the worst. I already read the end of it. It says, 'I love you and become the star everyone knows you are. Fuck you.'"

They continued, "We are so happy for him. We're so proud of him. This has been, you know, so long overdue. Yeah, he's been grinding for so long and we just could not be happier for him. Just so — just happy. I don't even know what to say. We're elated for our friend."
