During a recent Twitch stream, Kenny Omega provided an update on Hikaru Shida, saying she is in the process of getting her visa renewed. While she's in Japan, Omega is watching her cats.

Shida hasn't wrestled on AEW TV since the November 20, 2024 episode of AEW Dynamite. She has remained active in Japan, working for various promotions.
It is unknown when Shida will return to AEW TV.
