During a recent game stream, Shida was asked when she would be back on AEW TV.

"I'm going to the show every week. To be honest, I have a little injury in my finger. It's alright. It's good. I can play game [video games]. It's alright. Maybe soon, I can wrestle," she said.

It is unknown when Shida will be back in the ring. She was passed over by Saraya as a potential tag team partner with Saraya picking Toni Storm to team with her on the January 11 episode of AEW Dynamite against Britt Baker & Jamie Hayter.

Shida still got involved in the match, tossing her kendo stick into the ring where it was used by Baker.
