Hillbilly Jim would love for the "Hulkster" to induct him into the WWE Hall Of Fame.
One of the seven inductees in this year's WWE Hall Of Fame class, Hillbilly Jim spoke with TMZ Sports just three weeks before this dream-like accomplishment becomes a reality. While speaking with the website, Hillbilly Jim shared that he would love for his former "trainer" and fellow WWE Hall Of Famer Hulk Hogan to induct him on April 6th.
“I’ll just say this about that man: He’s been wonderful to me, and at the time when I first came in that business, to get brushed up against the guy who was the most popular wrestler on earth, could do nothing but help your career. And I got brushed up against Hulk and it was just wonderful what he’s did for me, and even in my book that I just had out, he did... he did one of the forwards to it. He and Jimmy Hart were nice enough to write that for me." Hillbilly Jim expressed.
"The Hulkster" has openly stated in a number of interviews that he would love nothing more than to return to WWE in some fashion and rewrite the story that he left on. Prior to the RAW 25 special, WWE released a statement about Hogan due to the rumors of him possibly returning to the company for that huge show.
"At this time, WWE remains committed to its decision". The statement that the sports-entertainment company released to the public concerning a rumored Hulk Hogan return.
Hillbilly Jim stated that he is in the dark just a bit about who will be inducting him and he will find out a few days before the fans do. But as of right now having Hulk Hogan induct him into the WWE Hall Of Fame sounds like a great idea to Mud Lick, Kentucky's favorite son.
"That’d be a little heavy, a little over the top wouldn’t it. But I’ll tell you what, that’d be as great as it can be and I don’t even wanna think that….. I haven’t even thought about that. My friends said you said this to me, because I haven’t thought about who would do it or how they would do it. I didn’t have anybody. A lot of times the guys would have someone in their life that would come and do it. You know, a family member, or loved one, or a friend or somebody. I am kinda gonna find out about that about the same time that most of the fans are going to find out about it. Maybe a few days before, but right now that would be…. That would be cream on top of this thing if the Hulkster did it."
