Hiromu Takahashi has picked his next challenger.
After successfully defeating Taiji Ishimori at NJPW Power Struggle and defending his IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship, Hiromu Takahashi picked El Desperado as his challenger for NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 18.
Desperado accepted the challenge, but noted that he would need surgery first. He said he would be healthy and ready to go for NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 18 on January 4, 2024.
It's on for 1.4 in the Tokyo Dome!

Desperado is 4-3 against Takahashi in singles competition. Their last singles match was at Best Of The Super Junior 29 Final in 2022 with Takahashi picking up the victory. Desperado defeated Takahashi at Wrestle Kingdom 16.
