Hirooki Goto will defend the IWGP World Heavyweight Title against Zack Sabre Jr at Tanahashi Jam on June 29.
Goto defeated ZSJ at NJPW The New Beginning In Osaka 2025 in February to win the title.
June 29 will see a special event in Nagoya's Dolphin's Arena, the last event to be held in the building before its closure at the end of the month. Titled Tanahashi Jam, the event will be produced by Hiroshi Tanahashi himself, with a series of special matchups, as well as three title bouts now confirmed.
After his seventh defence of the IWGP World heavyweight title at Dominion June 15, Hirooki Goto requested a rematch against Zack Sabre Jr, after a controversial double pin draw at Resurgence in May. That match is now set for Tanahashi Jam, as is Boltin Oleg's first defence of the NEVER Openweight Championship, the title bout added to an already planned special singles match with Yuji Nagata. Plus, El Phantasmo continues his open challenge for the NJPW World TV Championship, and with multiple promotions involved on the evening, absolutely anyone could show up.
