Hiroshi Tanahashi Returns To AEW At AEW Double Or Nothing To Even The Odds Against Don Callis Family

Hiroshi Tanahashi is back in AEW.

At AEW Double or Nothing, The Don Callis Family's Josh Alexander, Kyle Fletcher, and Konosuke Takeshita defeated Kyle O'Reilly, Roderick Strong, and Adam Cole of Paragon when Fletcher pinned O'Reilly after a Brainbuster. However, after the match, things quickly broke down into pure pandemonium when Lance Archer, Rocky Romero, and Trent Beretta hit the ring and started beating them down further.

At this point, they were saved by Brody King, Tomohiro Ishii, and the surprising return of NJPW President and former IWGP World Champion, Hiroshi Tanahashi.

They fought their way to the ring and forced the Don Callis Family out with a fight, but it was clear that these issues would be settled later.

Hiroshi Tanahashi is in his retirement year and is slated to retire on January 4, 2026, at AEW Wrestle Kingdom. He has already had his last match in the United States, but this year's AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door will take place in London, England. Tonahashi has taken part in the event in the past.
