Powerhouse Hobbs Wins TNT Championship On 3/8 AEW Dynamite, Aligns With QT Marshall

Powerhouse Hobbs is the new TNT Champion.

The title change occurred on the March 8, 2023 edition of AEW Dynamite after Hobbs was able to knock off the freshly crowned Wardlow. To win the belt, Hobbs had to call in help from QT Marshall, who hit Wardlow with a chair multiple times. Hobbs and Marshall then powerbombed Wardlow off the stage, which was enough to keep 'Mr. Mayhem' down for the ten count.

As previously mentioned, Wardlow defeated Samoa Joe back at Sunday's Revolution pay-per-view to win the title. Wardlow's second reign with the belt lasted all of 4 days. Hobbs earned a shot at the belt by winning the Face Of The Revolution ladder match on the March 8 episode of Dynamite.

Furthermore, Hobbs' win marks the first time that he has held a championship in AEW. Hobbs signed with the company back in 2020.
