Hulk Hogan Doing Well According To Eric Bischoff, Debunks 'Deathbed' Rumor

On Wednesday, Bubba The Love Sponge stated that Hulk Hogan was not doing well and that he was in the hospital, alluding to Hogan being on his deathbed.

"If you did some sniffing around, you might find him in a hospital near you. It's not good. I got some pretty reliable information last night that there are phone calls being made to various family members about getting to town to come say your goodbyes," said Bubba on his radio show.

Asked how reliable the information was, Bubba said, "Pretty damn reliable, but I still want to frame it in case he got discharged last night at midnight. I've not been able to talk to my sources since yesterday. My sources are that, I don't know it to be true. Rumor has it. Allegedly. Allegedly, Hogan is in the hospital. I've heard people say he might not make. It should create a feeding frenzy among wrestling reporters and people in pop culture to check this out. He's not doing well. He's not in good shape. I've been told that he publicly talked about neck fusion surgery. I don't know if it's complications to that. My sources say it is complications to that and within 72 hours of him having this semi-major neck fusion surgery, he's out promoting this new wrestling league and out at liquor bars promoting his beer. He had no business being out and about, and out traveling. It takes a lot out of you. You're sleeping in hotel beds, you don't have the comfort of your own home. You're not eating as well. Terry will be 72 soon. I don't think the doctors that did this...I think the neck surgery was downplayed. A lot of people from Hogan's camp called it minor when really it was major and he might have complications from that. I don't know. I don't know necessarily the prognosis; there have been a lot of things swirling around my sources."

Hogan did undergo neck surgery in May.

Bubba and Hogan had a falling out in 2012 with Bubba recording a sex tape of Hogan. The suit was settled and Bubba was not to mention or disparage Hogan publicly as part of the settlement.

After Bubba's comments, Eric Bischoff issued the following statement to Derek Sabato:

“Hulk Hogan had a very successful cervical surgery and is experiencing some adverse reaction. He’s doing well and should be home later today. Doctors expecting a full recovery.”

TMZ published the following information from a Hogan represenative:

A rep for Hogan tells us the 71-year-old isn't close to death -- he's just dealing with more of the same ailments he's had for years. In fact, we're told Hogan's back to moving around already.
