Hurricane Helms Believes GCW Took Advantage Of David Arquette

Hurricane Helms speaks out against GCW.

It looked like the situation between David Arquette and GCW would go quietly into the good night. Arquette issued a statement on Monday night, taking blame for being too inexperienced and panicking in the middle of his deathmatch against Nick Gage at Joey Janela's LA Confidential. Arquette also apologized for bringing negative attention to wrestling. GCW promoter Brett Lauderdale told Pro Wrestling Sheet that Arquette knew what he was getting into when he accepted the match.

However, Shane Helms isn't letting GCW off the hook that easy.

Sean Waltman and Jim Cornette also chimed in on the situation, agreeing with Helms.

Arquette's neck was cut open during the match as a result of a light tube shot to the head. Arquette appeared to seek medical attention before heading back into the ring to finish the match. Arquette was taken to the hospital to be stitched up following the bout.

The friendship between Arquette and Helms goes back to 2000 when Helms served as Arquette's stunt double in Ready To Rumble. The two teamed together this past September at NEW The Time Is NOW.
