A very important rubber match took place on the October 5 WWE Raw.
Since June 15, former WWE United States Champion Apollo Crews has only faced members of The Hurt Business - MVP, Shelton Benjamin, Bobby Lashley and Cedric Alexander. This, of course, was the plan all along.
This was actually not the plan all along, that was sarcasm. Along the way, whether intentionally or not, WWE managed to effectively create a best-of-15 series between Crews and The Hurt Business, whom had tried to recruit Crews months prior. Leading in to the tag team match on WWE Raw, each side had seven wins.
Crews teamed with longtime friend Ricochet to take on Lashley and Benjamin, shortly after rejecting another offer to join The Hurt Business. Unfortunately for Apollo Crews, he ended up submitting to The Hurt Lock, which is Bobby Lashley's submission finisher.
After the match, Ricochet claimed that they would keep coming back until The Hurt Business were tired of them. We'll do our best to confirm with sources when exactly someone could get tired of such a thing.
