Idris Elba praises John Cena.
Elba and Cena will share the screen once again in 'Heads Of State', a new action thriller that hits Amazon Prime Video on Wednesday, July 2. The two stars first worked together back in 2021, starring in James Gunn's 'The Suicide Squad'.
In a new interview with The Breakfast Club, Elba said that he's enjoyed working with Cena, calling him humble and grounded.
“One of the things why I love working with John is that he is very humble, he’s very grounded. As famous as he is, as successful as he is, when we’re all on a set — everybody, the person behind the camera or in front, is equal. That’s something that I think he really strives to bring the film set. I love that. We have both worked with people that do not feel that way, that feel like they are better and therefore, actions need to act that way. It is so refreshing to be with someone, work with someone that is an equal and is prepared to keep it all. We never have to squabble or fight. If we do, I’ll kick his ass, that’s just how it works.”
Elsewhere in the interview, John Cena broke down and criticized his promo from the June 13 edition of WWE SmackDown. Check out his full comments here.
