The IInspiration don't want to walk through the Forbidden Door just yet.
In 2021, the professional wrestling landscape has become much more cooperative amongst the different promotions, breaking away from the chain of exclusivity that existed in the industry for the prior three decades.
In All Elite Wrestling, they have dubbed these working relationships with other promotions as the opening of The Forbidden door and in recent months, they have worked with IMPACT Wrestling, the National Wrestling Alliance, Game Changer Wrestling, and New Japan Pro-Wrestling.
Even though this could lead to more opportunities for the former duo known as The IIconics in WWE, Cassie Lee and Jessie McKay only want to focus on their new home of IMPACT Wrestling for now.
Speaking on the Wrestling Daily with Alex McCarthy, The former IIconics explain why they want to focus strictly on IMPACT right now.
"For right now, yes, there are incredible companies and other wrestlers and entertainers out there before right now our hearts are with IMPACT. They've given us this opportunity and we don't let them down we wanted to live off and we have so much more in store for the IInspairation that we can't wait to show the world exclusively at IMPACT we that's our focus right now. That's where our heart is we're putting all of our time and energy into IMPACT, investing. I've always been thinking about the future but I honestly mean it when I say I haven't been these past six months because I've been so happy with living in the moment and for the first time in my life not stressing about what's going to happen six months, a year, two years, five years down the road and it's been extremely fulfilling for me to do that and it's great on our mental health."
For now, Cassie Lee and Jessie McKay only want to get back to the IMPACT Wrestling roster, and this upcoming Thursday, they will participate in their first match on IMPACT Wrestling television as they wrestle the Undead Brides. You can check out the full card here.
