Ilja Dragunov Not Medically Cleared To Defend NXT Title At NXT New Year's Evil

Ilja Dragunov won't be wrestling at NXT New Year's Evil.

Kelly Kincaid announced that Ilja Dragunov has not been medically cleared to compete at NXT New Year's Evil and won't be defending his NXT Title against Trick Williams in the main event.

Dragunov suffered a neck injury at the hands of Ridge Holland on the December 19 episode of NXT, but vowed to still defend the title against Trick.

As a result of Dragunov not being able to compete, Trick Williams will face Grayson Waller and the number one contendership for the NXT Title will be on the line.
