IMPACT Announces Men's Match Of The Year Award Winner

IMPACT has handed out another one of their year-end awards.

On December 30, IMPACT closed out 2021 with the second half of their year-end awards presentation. Last week, IMPACT crowned its Tag Team of the Year, Knockout of the Year, and Knockouts Match of the year. Additional information, including the winners and nominees, can be seen at the corresponding links.

Tonight, the final three awards were handed out, with the last one being for Men's Match of the Year. The nominees were as follows:

  • Kenny Omega vs. Rich Swann (Rebellion)
  • Kenny Omega vs. Sami Callihan (Slammiversary)
  • Moose vs. Rich Swann (Sacrifice)
  • Christian Cage vs. Josh Alexander (Bound For Glory)
  • Ultimate X (Slammiversary)
  • Josh Alexander vs. TJP (BTI/IMPACT! June 3rd)

The winner was announced as Josh Alexander and TJP's 60-Minute Iron Man Match on June 3rd. This was the first match of its kind in IMPACT history and was one of the hallmark title defenses of Josh's X Division Championship reign. In a pre-recorded message, The Walking Weapon said that he wouldn't be where he is if not for this match and thanked TJP for being one of his greatest opponents ever.

Earlier in the evening, Rachael Ellering and Jordynne Grace were named Knockouts Tag Team of the Year. Click here to learn more. Josh Alexander was also named Men's Wrestler of the Year. Click here to learn more.
