A battle royal has been announced to determine the next challenger to Kenny Omega's IMPACT World Championship.
On the July 29 episode of IMPACT Wrestling, Tommy Dreamer was tasked by Scott D'Amore with finding the next #1 contender for IMPACT's top prize. He didn't waste much time, informing Don Callis and Kenny Omega that a Number One Contenders Battle Royal would take place on August 12 with the winner going on to face Omega at Emergence.

Omega and Callis made their way to the ring to complain. They say that IMPACT's plan to work Omega to the bone won't work and that Kenny makes Ric Flair look like a slacker. Sami Callihan, who Omega defeated at Slammiversary, then came out and announced that he would be entering the battle royal.
Furthermore, he, Frankie Kazarian, and another partner will face Omega and The Good Brothers next week on IMPACT.
