Impact Update: Stars Return, Debut, More Sign Contracts

With new Impact tapings, come several transactions.

Formerly known as Evan Bourne, Matt Sydal appeared for Impact at Friday's tapings. Sydal last appeared in 2004 at Victory Road, and will be getting a substantial push early on.

A few familiar names returned as well. David Penzer, who had done some work for Hannibal TV, was back serving as ring announcer on Friday night's tapings. Crimson returned to the company, after a multi-year absence. Crimson, who will use the name Mayweather, was joined by former NWA Champion Jax Dane, going by the name Wilcox. confirmed that Allie and Braxton Sutter have signed new deals with the company. The two are popular backstage among those we spoke to, and are highly regarded for their work on-screen. There was unanimous praise for the duo from staff and talent that we heard from. 

Christina Von Eerie has signed with Impact, following GFW's merger with the company. Von Eerie is the longtime GFW Women's Champion, and will have an important presence in Impact moving forward. 

Bram and Robbie E are still with the company, despite not being on this week's tapings. The two are in Japan competing for Pro Wrestling NOAH.
