This is the Fightful.com live coverage for tonight's episode of IMPACT Wrestling on POP! Tonight we begin a new era for IMPACT Wrestling. The Hardys and Jade are gone, but several new and old faces have replaced them including former WWE Superstar Alberto El Patron! -We open with a video package for the new era of IMPACT Wrestling.
-We open with Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards brawling around ringside to start the show.
-Jeremy Borash joins on commentary on a full time basis now. Josh and Jeremy go back and forth with Jeremy playing the face and Josh the heel as Pope is indifferent. Cody then shows up and polls the audience for a match with him and Moose tonight. Cody calls out Moose, then DCC come out instead and we are informed that Moose is in Japan as we go to commercial.
DCC vs Reno Scum
Reno dominate DCC early, double teaming Kingston repeatedly and isolating him in their corner. Bram gets tagged in finally and he gets double teamed by Scum as well until he goes out of the ring. They get back in the ring and Reno run right through DCC for the pin and the win, Kingston and Bram never getting started.
Winner: Reno Scum via pinfall
-We get a recap of the wedding two weeks ago.
Braxton Sutter vs Marshe Rocket vs DJ-Z vs Caleb Conley
They are brawling in and out of the ring, then everyone except Marshe dives out of the ring before Marshe powerbombs Caleb and Sutter, powerbombing Sutter into the turnbuckle. Caleb gets a quick 2 count off of a roll up, then the three others hit Rocket with a dropkick when he comes off the top rope. Caleb hits Braxton with an enzuigiri, then dives through the ropes and takes out Rocket at ringside before Caleb hits Sutter with a back suplex and DJ-Z hits a ZDT while using Marshe as a step ladder. Sutter sends Rocket out of the ring, then Allie gets on the top rope and dives out onto Marshe, then Sutter hits a spinning neckbreaker for the pin and the win.
Winner: Braxton Sutter via pinfall
Rachel Ellering vs Sienna
They exchange forearms to start the match, then Rachel drops Sienna before hitting an elbow drop for a quick 2 count. Rachel hits an enzuigiri that sends Sienna out of the ring, then Sienna sends Rachel off of the top rope. Rachel comes back and hits Sienna with a series of strikes, before hitting her with an STO, then a springboard spinning leg drop for a near fall. Sienna then comes back and hits The Silencer for the pin and the win.
Winner: Sienna via pinfall
-Bruce Prichard comes out and talks about the revival of IMPACT and that there is a new name and new management. He talks about how he saw the beginning of Stone Cold, The Rock, John Cena and others before introducing Bobby Lashley. Alberto El Patron comes out to the ring and tells Lashley to shut up and that Lashley has never beaten him, then EC3 comes out to the ring. EC3 says that Alberto has to earn a title shot and says he himself deserves a title shot.
-Cody comes out to fight Moose again, but Moose is still in Japan.
-Dutch Mantell comes out and talks about joining IMPACT and his time as Zeb Coulter in WWE. Dutch goes on to name off several TNA alumni and that they said they left because of a lack of leadership and vision. Dutch goes on to say that he works for the fans and with their help they will make IMPACT Great Again as we go to commercial.
-Jeff has a fight with a kangaroo, then we get an announcement for Slammiversary on July 2nd.
Lashley vs Alberto El Patron IMPACT World Title Match
They go back and forth early, then Lashley hits a neckbreaker for a quick 2 count, following up by tossing Alberto out of the ring. Lashley goes to spear Alberto once they're back in the ring, but Alberto dropkicks him, then they exchange strikes in the center of the ring before Alberto puts Lashley in a cross armbreaker in the ropes. Lashley hits a sidewalk slam for a near fall as EC3 comes out to the ramp and watches the match as we go to commercial.
Lashley is in control as we come back, but Alberto comes back and drops him repeatedly before hitting a backstabber for a quick 2 count. Lashley gets a near fall off of a school boy pin, then drops Alberto with a clothesline before Lashley accidentally kills the referee and turns him inside out with a clothesline. Alberto puts Lashley in a cross armbreaker, but Lashley doesn't tap and powers out of it and powerbombs Alberto for a near fall. Alberto hits a double foot stomp for a near fall of his own, then Lashley hits Alberto with a spinebuster for another near fall as EC3 looks on. Alberto hits a DDT and Lashley pulls the referee in the way and Alberto superkicks him, Lashley hitting another spinebuster. Lashley gets out of the ring and grabs the title belt, but Alberto superkicks him and hits him with the title for the pin and the win.
