Indi Hartwell: It Was Bittersweet Giving Up NXT Women's Title And Getting Drafted To WWE Raw

On the May 2 episode of NXT, Indi Hartwell relinquished her NXT Women's Championship due to injury.

Days before giving up her hold, Hartwell was drafted to WWE Raw during night one of the 2023 WWE Draft on the April 28 episode of WWE SmackDown.

Speaking to Ned & Josh on Mini-Cast, Hartwell was asked about giving up her title after being drafted.

"It's just the next logical step. At the time, I was injured and so it kind of worked out. It was obviously very unfortunate to get injured, but later that week is when I got drafted to Raw, so it was bittersweet. I just won the title, I had to give it up, but I knew that it was the next logical step. I'm ready to level up on it," she said.

Hartwell won the title at NXT Stand & Deliver in a six-way ladder match.

Asked how she felt about moving to the main roster, Hartwell said, "Of course, it is kind of scary, it's like a whole new huge world, and I was really comfortable at NXT and really comfortable in front of that crowd that came to see us every week in the same arena. Those fans are so passionate and I'm so appreciative to those fans because they gave up their time every week to come and see us."

Hartwell hasn't wrestled on WWE Raw since losing to Rhea Ripley on the August 14 episode of the program.

It is unknown when Hartwell will return to television.
