Indi Hartwell talks about winning the NXT Women's Championship at WWE NXT Stand & Deliver 2023
Indi Hartwell defeated Roxanne Perez, Zoey Stark, Gigi Dolin, Lyra Valkyria, and Tiffany Stratton in a Ladder Match at NXT Stand and Deliver 2023 to capture her first and only WWE NXT Women's Championship. The most tenured woman on the NXT roster in that match, the victory felt like the culmination of her time in NXT, with Dexter Lumis, her on-screen husband, even helping her get the win after they had already been separated into different storylines on camera.
Speaking about the moment with MuscleManMalcolm, Hartwell would say that the moment was not only a surprise to the audience, but it surprised her as well.
"Well, my story is that I was inspired by Bayley and Sasha Banks from their NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn match, and that was for the NXT Women's Championship. They both won that title. That's what got me into wanting to start wrestling, and it helped me finish my story. I guess it was just such a cool moment. I think it shocked everyone. It shocked me as well. So, yeah, it was just cool."
