The finals to crown new IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Champions is set.
In the finals, Suzuki-gun (El Desperado & Yoshinobu Kanemaru) will meet Los Ingobernables de Japon (BUSHI & Hiromu Takahashi). The two teams will battle for the vacant titles on September 11.
The match is a result of Wednesday's New Japan Road tour, which saw Suzuki-gun defeat LIJ in the main event. The victory for Suzuki-gun put them in a tie with LIJ in the round robin tournament, setting up the rematch.
Both teams finished with four points. Ryusuke Taguchi & Master Wato and Taiji Ishimori & Gedo finished with two points. The only loss for BUSHI & Takahashi was against El Desperado & Kanemaru while the only loss for the Suzuki-gun duo was against Taguchi & Wato.
The titles were vacated due to an injury suffered by YOH in June, which forced Roppongi 3K to drop the titles.
