The event will be headlined by Kazuchika Okada taking on Shingo Takagi for the vacant IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. The belt was vacated by Will Ospreay on May 20 due to a neck injury. Ospreay defended the title in a hard-fought bout against Shingo at Wrestling Dontaku. Okada was scheduled to challenge for the title at NJPW Wrestle Grand Slam before the event was postponed.

Also announced for the June 7 event is Kota Ibushi against Jeff Cobb and El Desperado defending the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship against Yoh.

Desperado vs. YOH was originally scheduled for Wrestling Dontaku but was canceled at the last minute due to COVID protocols.

Okada and Desperado both revealed they tested positive for COVID in May. NJPW announced nine wrestlers tested positive for COVID coming out of Wrestling Dontaku.

The full card for NJPW Dominion will be revealed at a later date.
