Izzy Moreno On Winning Fightful’s Rookie Of The Year Award In 2024: It’s Such A Testament To My Fans

Izzy Moreno reflects on her big Fightful award win.

In 2024, Moreno took home the award for Fightful’s Rookie Of The Year category. She was able to beat out other big names like Zilla Fatu and Paul Walter Hauser.

Less than a year after the win, Izzy Moreno spoke with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp for a new interview and reflected on the win — which was a big deal to her.

“Oh, gorgeous. First off for me that stuff I get super sentimental on ‘cause I’ve never been nominated for that type of stuff in wrestling So when you told me, no offense. But you told me and I was like, ‘Oh, my God. Shut the front door. No way.’ So I was just super hyped and you’re like, ‘Yeah, the awards are gorgeous.’ Like, I trust you, but I was like, ‘Okay, I don’t know if it’s on the level that it was,’ and it was just so beautiful. I have it still. Obviously I have it and it’s just so gorgeous. It’s just such a testament to my fans and what I do. So thank you so much.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Moreno spoke positively about the WWE ID program. Check out her full comments by clicking here.
