28 names are set for the New Japan Cup.
New Japan Pro-Wrestling announced that 28 men will compete in the 2024 New Japan Cup. The tournament will begin at the 52nd Anniversary event on March 6. The finals will take place on March 20.
The winner will receive a shot at the IWGP World Heavyweight Title at NJPW Sakura Genesis.
Ota Bracket: First round March 6
- MATCH 1: YOSHI-HASHI vs KENTA
- Winner Faces SANADA (receives first-round bye)
- MATCH 2: Shota Umino vs Jack Perry
- MATCH 3: Toru Yano vs Yujiro Takahashi
Korakuen bracket: First round March 7
- MATCH 4: TJP vs David Finlay
- MATCH 5: Tanga Loa vs Great-O-Khan
- MATCH 6: Tomohiro Ishii vs Chase Owens
- Winner Faces Hirooki Goto (receives first-round bye)
Yamanashi bracket: First round March 8
- MATCH 7: Hikuleo vs Boltin Oleg
- Winner Faces EVIL (receives first-round bye)
- MATCH 8: Shingo Takagi vs Yuya Uemura
- MATCH 9: Callum Newman vs Gabe Kidd
Hyogo bracket (First round March 10)
- MATCH 10: Yota Tsuji vs Jeff Cobb
- MATCH 11: El Phantasmo vs Mikey Nicholls
- MATCH 12: Taichi vs Ren Narita
- Winner Faces Zack Sabre Jr. (receives first-round bye)
