Jack Perry Says Favorite Part Of His NJPW Run Was Doing Post-Match Promos
Perry enjoyed the on-the-spot promos.
The newest episode of Close Up w/ Renee Paquette was rolled out, and it featured a sit-down chat with Jack Perry.
Their conversation would move over to Perry’s time with New Japan Pro-Wrestling in 2024. Looking back at that period of his career, Perry said his favorite part about the NJPW run was cutting the post-match promos.
“My favorite part was these little post-match promos things they have. You literally just come back and there’s no — there’s not a knock on you guys but there’s no lights, there’s no good camera. There’s just a guy with a camera, and there’s no, ‘3, 2, 1, go.’ It’s like they’re already rolling so it’s like, oh sh*t, I can’t even breathe. But it kind of forces you to just be in the moment and not overthink it and not worry and I think that was really good for me. Just kind of taking the pressure off of these things.”
Perry last wrestled under the NJPW banner in January 2025. He was in action at the Wrestle Dynasty event and challenged Yota Tsuji for the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship.
