Jacob Fatu Attacked On WWE SmackDown, Unable To Compete In The Main Event

Jacob Fatu was scheduled to face Drew McIntyre in a number one contender’s bout for the Undisputed WWE Championship in the main event of WWE SmackDown.

As Fatu’s music was playing, the camera went backstage to find Fatu caught under a construction rig and bleeding from the mouth.

Fatu was unable to compete in the main event.

Nick Aldis confronted McIntyre and questioned if he had anything to do with the attack on Fatu. Aldis said that things were bad when it came to Fatu.

McIntyre said he had nothing to do with it, but he should be named the number one contender. Cody Rhodes came out, leading to a brawl between Cody and McIntyre.

On October 16, Bodyslam reported that Jacob Fatu is dealing with a non-wrestling-related injury that could keep him out “well into 2026.”

Fightful will provide more details on the status of Fatu when it is known.
