Jacob Fatu Says You ‘Can’t Really Prepare’ For Tribal Combat

Jacob Fatu discusses how he is preparing for a Tribal Combat match with Roman Reigns at WWE Clash In Paris.

At WWE Backlash, Jacob and Roman would clash in a singles match for the first time, with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on the line. Reigns would come away with the victory after cheating to win, enraging Fatu and leading them to a Tribal Combat match at WWE Clash In Italy this weekend.

While speaking to SportsCenter in a new interview, Jacob Fatu was asked about the difference between Backlash and Clash In Italy.

“Man, the only difference is we’re doing the rematch, tapping in, following the code of the Bloodline rules. I’m definitely walking out this time heavyweight champion.”

Jacob was then asked how he plans to prepare for Tribal Combat, noting that you can’t really prepare for the stipulation.

“Well, see, this is the thing about Tribal Combat. You can’t really prepare for a sticky situation like this. When it comes to our Bloodline, when it comes to our culture, when it comes to our family, we’re the only ones that’s able to go within the Tribal Combat and do what we do. You know, at such a high level, at such a great stake right now, at Clash in Italy. Especially going there for the first time.”
