Jade Cargill captures the title.
The second match of the evening at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event saw Tiffany Stratton put her WWE Women’s Championship on the line against Jade Cargill.
Stratton went into the match with a hurt left knee. Before the match, she was approached by SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis, who asked her if she was sure she wanted to go through with the match. Stratton told him that she was good to go.
The conclusion of the bout saw Cargill hit Stratton with consecutive powerbombs and then finish her off with ‘Jaded’ for the three count.
Stratton’s title reign clocked out at 302 days. She won the title in January and had 10 defenses.
