Jade Cargill On Fans Who Think She Got Pushed Too Soon: ‘I Can Care Less. Guess What? I’m Getting Paid’

Jade Cargill responds to critics.

Following her AEW departure, Jade Cargill signed with WWE in 2023. Her official in-ring debut took place at the Royal Rumble 2024 event, where she entered in the Women’s Rumble Match as the 28th entrant. Cargill has been featured prominently in the women’s division, and this has earned her criticism from fans who feel she didn’t really work for it.

On the Joe Budden Podcast, she was asked her thoughts on this.

“I do what I’m told. At the end of the day, me being skyrocketed to the top, that’s a lot on my shoulders too. People sit back and they’re like, ‘Oh, she got this.’ Like who in the hell is going to say no? Who? Who is going to say no? Nobody is going to say no. They’re like, hell yeah, give it to me. That’s a lot on my shoulders because I have to go out there and I have to perform. It’s not a cakewalk that people think it is. I have to be able to have tough skin, deal with the critics and all the stuff that’s going to come with it.

People think it’s so easy to be at the top. They’re like, ‘Oh, you should be able to handle this.’ I’m a freaking human. Like, I put on my pants just like everybody else. I just got to go out there and do the damn thing. So I can care less. Guess what? I’m getting paid.”

In another interview, Jade said that she wants to defend her title more frequently. Fans can read more about it here.
