Jade Cargill Says There Was No Hate From WWE Women When She Came From AEW

Jade Cargill says it was all love for her when she came over to WWE from the AEW roster.

Jade Cargill is the first AEW homegrown talent to make the jump to WWE. Jade built a reputation as a future star in wrestling during her time in AEW, where she was the inaugural AEW TBS Champion, holding the title for 508 days.

She joined WWE in 2023 and made her debut in the 2024 WWE Royal Rumble. Once upon a time, a top star defecting to WWE would not have received open arms from the locker room. However, Jade Cargill says that it was all love for the WWE women. They understood that she wants to get better and that she’s aiming to be a legend.

“It was love. They wanted to work with me. They know that. They knew that I came here to get better, and they knew that I came here to be a legend, like there’s nothing else. There’s no other place I’m going to become a legend. They want to help as much as they can because they want to do nothing but elevate the locker room,” She said during an appearance on the Club 520 podcast.

Elsewhere in the interview, she spoke about recovery from a neck injury. Read her comments on that matter here.

Jade Cargill may be viewed as a WWE legend one day. However, she came up short in her quest to become the WWE Women’s Champion at WWE SummerSlam. She lost to Tiffany Stratton on WWE SummerSlam Saturday. Learn more about that here.
