Jake Roberts Clarifies That He Isn’t Under Contract With WWE
Jake Roberts isn’t under contract with WWE.
Roberts made some headlines back at the tail end of October, as he claimed that he had re-signed with WWE to do “some stuff” for the company. Taking to social media on November 3, the 71-year-old clarified that he is only signing autographs for WWE and is not currently under contract with the promotion.
“Hey, Jake The Snake Roberts here. I got something I need to talk to you about. First thing is, I did a promo, talked to a fella and had a great time being interviewed by him. I talked about going back to work for the WWE. Yeah, in some capacity. That capacity is real simple — signing autographs. Yeah, I went to SummerSlam and signed some autographs. I do some Topps cards here and there. I enjoy doing it, just like coming out and seeing you guys, signing autographs for you and taking pictures. That’s all there is. I’m not under contract by no way, no means.”
