James Ellsworth Explains Why He Created The Intergender Championship

James Ellsworth was inspired by his history in WWE to create his championship.

In WWE, James Ellsworth was involved in the first intergender match in six years against Becky Lynch. When he left WWE, he created a list of female wrestlers and athletes he wanted to face in the professional wrestling ring and he went as far to create a Intergender Championship which features a blue and pink strap. In an interview with AMBY, Ellsworth explained why he created the title.

"At WWE my last stint there, I was a huge part of the women's division I guess you could say. I helped win the first ever Money in the Bank ladder match for the girls. I thought 'Well, I'm back on the independents and why not do something with that' and I created this really cool looking Intergender title," said Ellsworth.

Also during the interview, Ellsworth covered topics like his time in WWE, working with the women there, and what he has been doing since coming back to independent wrestling. The interview can be seen in the video below.

The whole interview and more are available on the AMBY YouTube channel.
