For a lot of professional wrestlers, their earliest memory of the world of pro wrestling could be a litany of things. This would include attending their first show, the first time they met a wrestler or even the first time they happened to come across the industry on television.
While speaking to The Wrestling Classic in a new interview, Jamie Hayter would be asked what her earliest memory was in the world of pro wrestling, with the former AEW Women’s World Champion recalling a cage match she watched live.
I remember, this is my earliest, earliest memory. I went to a random… professional, I don’t even know what it was, but I just remember there was like a cage match. It was at like this, small kind of, community center type of thing in my local town, and there was like this big cage match. I just remember this guy getting like his pants pulled down, like his butt showing, and I was like, ‘oh my god’ but it was like, I thought it was like the craziest thing ever. When I was super young. I just almost seemed like it didn’t happen or it was like a dream, but I just, I vividly remember that and only that.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Hayter noted that she would never turn down a rematch with Mercedes Mone. You can read more about that here.
