Jay Lethal Doesn't Like To Be Referred To As The 'Locker Room Leader' In ROH

Jay Lethal is one of the most accomplished wrestlers in ROH history and is certainly a veteran in the locker room.

And while he's always willing to pass on advice to younger talent, he doesn't like being called the "locker room leader" in Ring of Honor.

"I don't like that," Lethal said on ROHStrong when asked about being the locker room leader. "I hate looking at myself like that because it hints at me thinking I'm somehow higher, or should be put higher, than someone else. I shudder to think...sometimes I'm referred to [as the locker room leader]. If I have to take that role and help people, I will. But if I'm thinking about it from my point of view, I don't want that role. I don't like it just because of everything I feel...the undertones that exist like somehow I think I'm better or know more than someone else. The coolest part of ROH, there's no social 'this group is at the top, this group is at the bottom.' Everybody is on the same playing field."

Elsewhere during the interview, Lethal revealed that he's gone to ROH management multiple times throughout his career, asking to lose. You can view Lethal's full comments on him not always getting his way in ROH by clicking here.
