Jay Lethal Says He's At The Top Of His Game As Champion

Jay Lethal went to Fairfax Virginia without a match scheduled.

During the Ring of Honor show in Fairfax which was a television taping, ROH decided to schedule a fatal four-way World Championship match for an exclusive broadcast on the Honor Club streaming service.

Jay Lethal came out of that match the World Champion after pinning Dalton Castle following a Lethal Injection.

Lethal was recently interviewed by Ring of Honor which can be seen in the video above. Lethal spoke highly of the former Champion Castle.

"There's one thing you can't take away from (Castle). He stands among the elite that have had the Ring of the Honor World Championship. Think of some of the people who have held it. Samoa Joe, Bryan Danielson, CM Punk, Nigel McGuinness. Some of the best, top wrestlers in the world," said Lethal.

As the new ROH World Champion, Lethal feels like he's at the top of his game.

“It feels amazing. It means once again I’m at the top of my game because to have the Ring of Honor World Championship you’re going to be operating at a higher level, a level that most people never reach," said Lethal.

On the night of the event, Fightful's Andrew Thompson was at the venue and reported the change and provided spoilers for the rest of the television taping.
