Here is your fight-size update for Thursday, January 14th, 2021:

- “Switchblade” Jay White’s profile is no longer on the official website of New Japan Pro Wrestling. White teased leaving the promotion after losing the main event of Wrestle Kingdom 15. Learn more about his status at this link.

- Adam Cole revealed on Twitch that he is currently dealing with a sliced tongue.

- Fandango recently spoke to Daily DDT about his time in NXT

“It’s cool to have such a diverse body of work, being able to show people you can be entertaining and do goofy stuff and be a good character, but I knew going to NXT would allow us to show that we can actually go in the ring. As I look at a complete professional wrestler, I look at their full body of work over their career. You can check off the boxes: comedy, the promos, and I think going to NXT has shown that we can both really go in the ring which means a lot to me because I take pride in that.”

- In a new interview with Wrestling Inc., Candice Michelle talks her unique WWE contract from the mid-2000s allowing her GoDaddy deal:

"So I had a clause in my contract which allowed me to do that [GoDaddy]. Because I was coming from Hollywood, I just had a different type of contract from the average wrestler who comes from the indie scene or comes from wrestling school. My website was off-limits and certain things on there were off-limits that they weren’t allowed to take away from me or have control over, and GoDaddy just happened to be one of those.”

- ICYMI: MLW has new tag champs:

For the first time since November 2, 2019, Major League Wrestling has new World Tag Team Champions.

Last night on Salina de la Renta’s MLW FUSION, LA Park and Hijo de LA Park, collectively known as Los Parks ended Ross and Marshall Von Erich’s record-breaking 437-day reign as the champion at 14:19 in a classic championship clash.

The bout, which can be watched in full for free at: youtu.be/dI9Sfi8ysYg, marked LA Park and his son’s first championship in MLW. Park, the longest tenured athlete on the roster, debuted in MLW in June 2002.

The outcome of the championship bout has outraged many, including VE Nation, the Von Erichs’ fans. With “Filthy” Tom Lawlor assigned as referee by Salina de la Renta, the integrity of the match instantly came into question. With slow counts for the Von Erichs and rapid counts for Los Parks, it was apparent that underhanded tactics were afoot.

However, the Von Erichs aren’t making excuses. While it is their intention to invoke their rematch clause, they first look to hold Tom Lawlor accountable.

What’s next for Los Campeons? Salina de la Renta isn’t saying.. but the real question may be: what is her new boss’ thoughts? In the shocking closing moments of last night’s FUSION, it was revealed that Promociones Dorado has been acquired by Azteca Underground, Inc. Whois the new owner/proprietor of Promociones Dorado? We hope to have all these questions answered on MLW FUSION.

Fans can watch Salina de la Renta’s MLW FUSION on YouTube, Fubo Sports, and The Roku Channel. The special will air on beIN SPORTS on January 16. Learn more about where to watch. The event will be broadcast on a delay internationally.
