Appearing on Talk Is Jericho, Jay White revealed what he told Takahashi prior to the match.

"I was with him in ROH, so I'm a little bit closer to him than some of the other guys," said White. "I always say to him, 'I know you'll do some crazy stuff but be careful out there.' I've seen him and Dragon Lee. They had a couple of matches in ROH and they did that move and he hurt his neck a bit. I was like, 'Don't do it again.' Before their match I said to him, 'Don't do anything crazy tonight, be careful.' He's like, 'It's ok.' He's doing okay. I think he's out of the hospital. He says he's doing alright. I don't have any idea as far as recovery time on when they want him back."

Takahashi had to vacant the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title as a result of his injury.

Jay White is set to challenge Hiroshi Tanahashi for the IWGP Heavyweight Title at The New Beginning in Osaka on Feb. 11.
