Jazz To Defend NWA Women's Title Against Penelope Ford At 70th Anniversary Event

NWA Women's Champion Jazz has an opponent for the 70th Anniversary Show.

In a new video release by the NWA, the organization announced that Penelope Ford will face Jazz for the belt at the event. You can view the video, which is highlighted by Nick Aldis' first bout since losing to Cody at All In, below. The Women's Title announcement is made at the end of the video. In it, Jazz says, "You better tell my opponent to have her shit together. Because I'm not laying down for nobody."

Britt Baker Reveals Broken Wrist, Says She's Not Taking Any Time Off

Earlier this week, in the video above, it was announced that Jazz would defend the title at the landmark event. Jazz has held the title since Sept. 2016 when she defeated Amber Gallows and Christi Jaynes in a triple threat bout.

Penelope Ford is best known as Joey Janela's second, but she's an accomplished wrestler in her own right. She recently wrestled Ethan Page at Janela's Lost in New York event and stole the show with her interference in Janela's bout with Hangman Page at All In.

The NWA 70th Anniversary Show takes place on Oct. 21. Fightful will provide full coverage on the night of the event.
