JBL Says He Has A Hard Time Believing Tom Brady Will Have A Singles Match In WWE

JBL hopes to see Tom Brady wrestle a match in WWE.

Tom Brady has been publicly feuding with Logan Paul for quite some time now, with Brady even slapping Paul at Fanatics Fest earlier this month. A report from TMZ recently said that Brady is having ongoing conversations with the promotion, which further fueled speculation about his wrestling debut.

The Bella Twins hope that Brady does something in the ring, and so does JBL.

Speaking on Something to Wrestle With, JBL was asked if he expects Brady to wrestle in the squared circle.

“I hope we do. Yeah, I think it’d be awesome. I think it’d be so much fun to have him [inaudible]. He did something with Cody. I saw him on a clip with Cody as well, so he’s obviously doing a lot with WWE. So I think there’s some talk that’s going on.”

JBL expects Brady to do a tag team match, but he wouldn’t be surprised if the latter gets into singles action either.

“I mean this is, to me, a perfect setup for it to have Tom Brady, possibly the greatest quarterback of all time. You can argue Bradshaw, Montana lost the Super Bowl but Brady won seven. He has an argument for the GOAT debate. One of the best commentators, highest paid commentators out there right now. He’s all over the place. This would be if he wanted to do it. Obviously you’re not gonna be able to pay him enough to make it worth his while. It depends on what worth his while means.  But this is something if he wants to do it I think he would do it. Apparently he’s got some real interest here. So I hope we do. It’s hard to believe you’d see him in a singles match, but you might. I saw him hitting the bag at one of those Fanatics… (boxer arcade machine) Brother, what a punch he has. Of course, he’s a great athlete, but God, what a punch he has. He might [do a singles match]. He’s obviously in great shape still, and you might see him do something. I would think it’d be more like a tag match, but you never know. That would be huge if he did.”

Later in the podcast, Bradshaw also praised Logan Paul’s work, saying that if fans get to see Brady in the ring, it would be because of Paul.

“Logan Paul is checking all the boxes, man. This guy’s good. What a boost he is to WWE. If you get Brady, it’s mainly going to be because of Logan Paul. I hope you do. I think it’d be a lot of fun. I have a hard time believing it to be a singles match, I hope it is. But I can see him doing something. To pay this off, it’s going to have to be more than just being in the corner of somebody. Maybe that’s what the payoff is, but I think it’s going to be something with him in the ring.”
