JDC Loses Retirement Match At TNA Genesis

The final match of J.D.C.’s career.

On the billing for TNA Wrestling’s Genesis pay-per-view was the retirement match for J.D.C., f.k.a. Fandango. His final match was against his factionmate in The System, Eddie Edwards.

J.D.C. and Edwards came out to the ring together alongside fellow members of The System, Moose, Alisha Edwards, and Brian Myers. J.D.C. was teary-eyed on his way to the ring and showed his tattoo of the late Windham Rotunda, a.k.a. Bray Wyatt.

During the match, Edwards put J.D.C. in a sleeperhold, and J.D.C. smiled as he fought out of the submission. He went on to put Edwards in a Walls of Jericho and hit him with a Codebreaker as a nod to his match against Chris Jericho at WWE WrestleMania 29.

The conclusion of the match saw J.D.C. seated on the mat after being hit by a series of maneuvers. He encouraged Edwards to deliver the final shot, and his factionmate put him away with the ‘Boston Knee Party.’

The System came out afterward to embrace JDC. Members of the roster and staff, including the injured K.C. Navarro, made their way out to the stage to embrace and celebrate J.D.C. as he wrapped up his 27-year in-ring career.
